It's not easy to plow the ground Even more when the sun is hot It's not easy to dig a hole Or to carry a cinder block
It's not easy to sweat and strain As we do the chores of life But is shouldn't be hard to love the One Who removed our sin and strife
It shouldn't be hard to serve the One Who loves and understands us How tough can it be to love Him back When no one else will have us?
So let's move on and expect some blows There's no need to hide or scatter For as long as Jesus is by our side When they come it just won't matter
