Pastors Corner

Life brings many uncertainties to all of us. Uncertainties come from the unkown. Not knowing what is going to happen today, tomorrow, or the near future. But one thing is certain, God is Good. He loves us, and is there for us each day. Through our faith in Christ, uncertainties of life don't have to become a trap. A trap of worry, anxiety or depression. We don't know what tomorrow will bring, but we do know who is with us today, tomorrow and each day.

Psalm 62:8 NLT; "O my people, trust in Him at all times, pour out your heart to Him, for God is our refuge".

During this health crisis, it is a good time to reflect, but not on the daily things and places we are missing out on; but a time to reflect and appreciate the things we normally take for granted. Like the comforts of your own home, your spouse, time with loved ones who may live with you, your pets, your garden, and yes even your neighbors. While we may miss the daily normal routines we are used to, there are still plenty of good things around us that we can  enjoy and appreciate.

God is still Good, and He still Loves us!

As I was thinking about a certain physical aliment I was dealing with the last couple of days,
I began to think about those that are blessed to be able to physically exercise as much as they want.

I began to admire them for being able to do this good thing, for their physical health.
These days there are so many opportunities for those who can, to get plenty of physical exercise.

These days, there are health gyms of some sort in every corner, and in every neighborhood.
And even though it is very important to do what we can to improve our health, the Lord reminded me of this:

Our bodies are the vehicle for our spirit. Our bodies are the outer shell of who we are.
While, just like a vehicle or car, it is good idea to clean, wash, and polish them regularly, what is
even more important than a clean car, is the condition of the driver!

A car can be nice and neat, but if the driver is in poor health, or impaired by something they put in their body, they can cause themselves or others pain.

While physical health is truly important and we should do our part, the Lord reminds us of how much more important our Spiritual health is.
I Timothy 4:8 New Living Translation
8“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.”

Let’s do whatever we can to improve our health, as it is also God given. More importantly, let’s all improve our spiritual health.
Remember, in the Lord, all things are possible.
