What Do You See At Christmas?
|
As shepherds watched their flocks one night By fires to light their darkness They soon would see a greater Light The cause of Heaven's brightness
Their fears would quickly fade away On that first Christmas Day For from that hour, to Earth would come The Truth, the Life, the Way
A world whose sin was black as night No longer had to grope In dreary paths where many died Now came a brand new Hope
In human form God came to Earth In lowly crib He lay And now all men can hope in Him Because of Christmas Day
Yet it is sad at Christmas time That many turn their gaze On some cute roly-poly man Who sets some hearts ablaze
And yet he's just the end result Of vain imaginations He's just not fit to be compared With He who rules the nations
Who will you see this season blessed Will it be food or malls? Will you be tuned to things like that Or hear the Lord who calls?
