Even Christians have to admit that our lives before God are less than perfect. Still, those who love the Lord should be perfectly happy that we belong to Christ because we would be perfectly lost without Him. I can't speak for everyone, but before Jesus saved me, there was a little bit of perfection in my life. I was a perfect idiot! David wrote: As for God, His way is perfect. (Ps 18:30) I am perfectly amazed that a perfect God can love the imperfect people that belong to imperfect churches, and fill them with perfect peace and security. Isn't it amazing as well that God would choose to place imperfect people in the church to be ministers, evangelists, pastors and teachers? The remarkable thing is that He does that for the perfecting of the saints.
