Who's Fooling Who?
Someone has said:"some people will do just about anything to be able to do nothing." I believe it, and although many jokes are made about people's laziness, it is not really a laughing matter. I'm sure you've seen the fellows at busy intersections that beg for money. (They are quite common in San Antonio) Almost every one of them appears to be healthy enough to do a decent day's work somewhere. I bet they think they are getting away with something. They are not! Proverbs 26:16 says, The lazy man is wiser in his own conceit than seven men that can render a reason. These guys are mostly fooling themselves, for even standing in the South Texas heat all day, is work. I wouldn't do it, would you? The fact that you are reading this morning's church bulletin, makes me believe that you overcame the urge to be lazy today. For that, I congratulate you.
