It is not my intention to take the readers of this article on a guilt trip, but many preachers believe that the biggest sin Christians can commit is to not witness to others about Christ. I don't hold that belief, but I do agree that not sharing Christ with others is a very serious matter. We can lay the blame for it on fear, selfishness, ignorance, whatever. One thing I do believe, though, is this: If we could catch just one small glancing sight of a loved one or friend in Hell, our witnessing would increase dramatically. General William Boothe, founder of the Salvation Army, believed that if he could hold each his young officers over hell for a few minutes, he would never have any trouble keeping them motivated about
witnessing for Christ. May God open our spiritual eyes as well.
